AWT Labels & Packaging has assisted in both the design and manufacturing of a tear tab closure strip that was recently given a WorldStar Award by the World Packaging Organization. The award was presented to the Fortune 500 company in Milan, Italy in the summer of 2015. The ergonomically-designed strip provides easy access to medical devices stored within a carton by pulling away from the packaging. The tab then stays attached to the carton, eliminating a loose piece that needs to find its way to a trash bin. The design is intuitive and user-friendly, an essential duo in any healthcare setting. The Tear Tab previously won an Ameristar Award in 2014 for its innovative and complex structure.
